Our MISSION
Our mission at the Valley Free Clinic is to provide compassionate, high-quality, and accessible medical care to individuals and families who are uninsured or underinsured, regardless of their background or ability to pay. We are dedicated to promoting health equity by addressing the critical healthcare needs of our community through Primary Care, Urgent Care, Psychiatric services, and patient education. By fostering a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusivity, we aim to empower our patients and contribute to a healthier, stronger Los Angeles.
COMMUNITY
Recent shifts in the healthcare landscape have increased insurance instability, placing a growing number of individuals at risk of losing consistent coverage. In the San Fernando Valley, these changes disproportionately affect low-income and uninsured residents, many of whom face significant barriers to accessing outpatient care once coverage lapses.
Despite the size and diversity of the San Fernando Valley, there is a critical gap in access to longitudinal, no-cost outpatient medical services for uninsured adults. As a result, many individuals delay care until conditions worsen or seek treatment in emergency settings for issues that could be managed in outpatient care.
OUR IMPACT
Valley Free Clinic was established to address this gap by providing coordinated, no-cost outpatient services and care navigation for uninsured and underinsured individuals. By serving as a medical home for patients who would otherwise lack access to routine care, Valley Free Clinic aims to reduce preventable morbidity, improve continuity of care, and strengthen the local healthcare safety net.
We work alongside our partner organization, Mend Urgent Care, to provide urgent care services to patients who are uninsured or underinsured, and to establish access to higher levels of care for these patients. It is our goal to help repair the gap in access to adequate healthcare.
